A fabulous start to the season for Bulkington A - playing Ambleside on the first match of the season.  All players were nervous starting with a changed team from last season.  Everyone soon settled into the rhythm of the game, although the weather was of little help.... blustery, windy conditions which made shooting very difficult and resulted in a low scoring game.

New kid on the block Liz Rogers excelled in defence.  The combination of Liz and Annie Stanford in the circle at times was awesome.  The gelled and played superbly together.  Liz's presence certainly gave the team added confidence in driving forward up the court.  The shooting squad was a newly formed partnership in Rosie Lawson and Yvonne Lawson - Rosie returning this season after illness last season.  With Yvonne and Rosie joining ranks in attack, life was made very difficult for he Ambleside defence.
