We approached this match with some trepidation as the previous match had been a very close fought battle with Leamingotn winning by 4 goals.

It was a very cold evening, but we had very good support on the sidelines and the A team on the next court.
The game started well with both teams playing good netball. Although Leamington had fielded a very experienced team, we also used the experience of Tracey and Alison from the C team to power through their defence. At quarter time Leamington were up by one goal and we had a confidence that we knew they were in reach. We continued to match their pace with excellent shooting from SJ (Happy 18th birthday) and Ali. The defence had a hard job against a very tall WA, a very experienced GA and a very tall aggressive shooter, but managed to get enough tips and interceptions for quick footed Laura and Katie to retrieve the ball and set up our attack. At half time Leamington were still only one goal ahead.

Because of the height of the WA it was decided to swap Laura and Katie, which because of the extra height made the pass into the circle a lot harder. Both Katie and Laura made some excellent interceptions, Tracey moved brilliantly around the attacking circle feeding the ball into the shooters from all angles which were converted into goals by SJ and Ali. The defence continued to frustrate and hassle the Leamington attack with Sue performing some of her famous flying leaps! The excellent team effort led to a 5 goal lead for Bulkington at 3/4 time.

In the final quarter we continued to fight hard, with Leamington coming back hard at us. Many decisions did not go our way, but with the scores equal and 19 seconds to go SJ scored a fabulous goal and although Leamington tried a long pass into the circle to try and score the whistle blew and we won by a goal 44-43.
