Saturdays game against Leamington B was a very physical and closely contested match. Both teams started strongly with little to chose between the sides. Leamington fielded some very experienced players along with a tall strong goal shooter that tested our defence. By half time leamington had a one goal lead (18-17) in what was quite a low scoring game in very hot conditions. Leamingtons defence made it very difficult for Courtney and SJ to shoot using very close man to man marking.

 

The second half was equally tough, with us taking a quick 2 goal lead in the third quarter. But we could not sustain this advantage and despite some excellent defending from Sue Evans (chosen player of the match) Leamingtons patience and persistence paid off and we eventually lost 35-30.

 

It was a good match and a learning experience for us all after the previous weeks victory. I'm sure we will learn from it !!!!!
