Saturdays match against Godiva was away at 3pm. Conditions were not good as it was very cold.

Yet again it proved to be a close match with both teams competing hard. Again we started well with our attack getting the better of Godiva's defence, with some excellent play particularly by Tracey - feeding into SJ and Courtney. Godiva's attack were very experienced, with their shooter being very tall and solid. However our defence worked hard and were able to intercept quite a few passes and retrieve many rebounds. By half time we were leading 19-17.

Sarah was on hand to give us some excellent coaching advice, and decided to swap Laura and Katie to try and give some extra height in defence. She also gave tips for the defending circle to upset the attack (yes, you can teach old dogs new tricks!). The second half we came back strong and our confidence grew. The attack cotinued strongly and the defence only conceeded 11 goals, with Katie's extra height adding to the interceptions.

A much deserved win with a good team effort!
