C Team | Match Reports

Opposition:                Leamington D

Final Score:                45 - 20 (win)

Players Player:         Jackie Brassington

Most of the C team had played for the B team against Offchurch so after a nice pub lunch and a good giggle the C team took the court, some of them feeling the nerves as they knew Leamington were going to be tough opponents -but with Sarah there to coach we knew we would be fine.

After the initial nerves subsided Bulkington played well although some were marked very tightly!!! Lisa had a tough wing defence which kept her out the game but showing great team spirit her team rallied around her to help free her up and bring the ball up court. Amy was her usual outstanding self , Lynz (again armed with her Pat Sharpe hair band) and Ali worked hard passing the ball around to gain good positions in order to shoot.

By the second quarter Jo and Kim had there opponents sussed and were picking balls out of the air and forcing the Leamington shooters to take difficult shots.

At half time Bulkington had a convincing lead but still were finding the game tough so after Sarah gave some good advice the team went from strength to strength Lisa changed her game against the WD and with Jackie’s support managed to bring the ball up court.
The final score was 45 -20 which doesn’t show how close the game felt. A credit also should go to the umpires who controlled and umpired the game excellently.

Also a big thank you to Sarah for her excellent coaching skills and Liz for her support.
