Opposition:                Harbury B

Final Score:                55 - 30 (win)

Players Player:         Alison McHugh

Bulkington C arrived at Bulkington Rec ready for a good game despite a slight nip in the air!!! At 5 to 1 and still no opponents Bulkington were starting to panic that they wouldn’t have anyone to play against. Eventually Harbury turned up full of good spirit.

Once the game started Bulkington were surprised by the improvement Harbury had made since they last played. Lynz and Ali were marked well in the circle making feeding the ball in difficult for Lisa and Amy. But they repositioned well and worked hard to gain their positions to shoot.

The defence as usual were brilliant even though Kim was matched for height, and found it difficult to get around her opponent but managed to tip a few balls. By half time Bulkington had a lead but not as convincing as they wanted.

Sarah was there with her wise wisdom and coaching skills. Although you would of never of noticed Amy was feeling tired (after a hard weeks work in the Kitchen and a few minor burns) so the decision was made to move her to WA and Lisa to C.
The swap didn’t seem to effect Bulkington’s performance too much however the defence did miss Amy’s interceptions, but Jackie and Jo did make up for that marking their partners closely and getting several tips. I don’t think there was a centre pass that Jackie didn’t stop going into her opponents hands!

The change in the attack proved to be a good one. Amy made the position her own and played superbly. Lynz and Amy worked closely together doing a lot of one-twos to get the ball up to the edge of the circle and popping the ball into Ali. Who despite a bad back was popping the shots in from all angles. Well deserving her players player award for that game.

The final score was 55 - 30 thanks to Sarahs coaching skills and the support of Sue, Rosie, Liz and Amanda thanks guys
