Another cold game was ahead for Bulkington C team who took the court dubious about there opposition who last time they met gave them a really tough game. Henley had drafted in some new players so we were facing the unknown.

Lynz was off having a facelift in Austria so we had  Fran playing at GS and Ali played GA. They both had an excellent game and gelled well together despite only playing together once before. After a few over zealous passes to Fran, Lisa and Amy found her range and even made her jump a few times! Alison took control of the attack and worked hard you would never of guessed she was suffering with her back.

Our defence were magnificent as usual! Kim rarely got to touch the ball and when she did it was intercepted. Jo and Jackie marked there players really tightly and Henley struggled to get the ball into the circle which showed in the score line which was 13 - 1 at quarter time and 28 - 3 at half time.

After a half time Jaffa cake we took the court with a target of 70 goals by full time. Henley made some changes and moved their team around, but despite this Bulkington worked hard and went from strength to strength.

Credit must be given to Henley - who, despite being beaten convincingly, worked hard and made us work hard for the ball.

Jo was now up against an experienced GA but marked her expertly and maintained her fair and sportswoman attitude.

The final score was 64 -7 and we were pleased we managed to build on our lead through each quarter where we would normally relax and throw silly balls away.

A big thankyou to Mel and Claire who supported us despite the freezing conditions.
