With absolutely perfect conditions for the first game of the season ... NOT.... and on Abi's 21st Birthday, Bulkington A took to the Court. "Will there be any goals today?" a distant voice was heard as the strong winds of October 3rd, swallowed up the voices of the spectators.

This was never going to be an entertaining display of fast flowing netball due to the harsh cross winds that one would expect to find up North. However, both teams battled well with shooters trying to gauge the strength of the wind.

Bulkington found themselves 3 -2 up at half time... yes 3 -2.
By half time Bulkington led 6 - 4 - the wind hadn't eased. A few changes were made at half time with Coutney taking to the Court at Goal Shooter, a shuffle in the Centre Court and Abi having a break. ( Very admiral that Abi took to the Court today after only a few hours sleep.)

The team took little time to settle in the third quarter with good support all round and the team defending from the attacking third right through to the end third. This put pressure on Copsewood who on several occasions were penalised for held ball.

By the end of the third quarter Bulkington were 4 goals ahead. A solid and steady last quarter resulted in Bulkington winning 21 - 14.

An overall good team performance and a well deserved 5 points.
