Prior to stepping out onto the netball court, Bulkington knew that this game would be close.The League tables showed that the teams had very similar results, with Leamington just having the edge.

The shooting duo of Rosie and Yvonne can only be commended for their never say die approach when faced with a Leamington defence whose arms appeared to cover the circle. Particularly in the last quarter they both played the circle with experience, patience and calm heads which gave them the edge over the defence. 

The quarter time scores were winning 9-7, losing 15 - 17, losing 25 -24 and then the final score 32- 32.

In the second quarter Bulkington at one point led by 4 goals,however, Leamington in their normal style fought back and took the lead into half time by two. 

The third quarter Bulkington pulled a goal back primarily due to some good defensive play by Abi and Mandi.

Going into the second quarter at 25 - 24 down the game was still all to play for. Leamington scored to make it 26 -24, however, Bulkington didn't give up. The defence worked hard and secured several interceptions. Andrea was on hand to send the ball through into the attack and goals were scored. Bulkington found themselves with a two goal lead.

Again Leamington fought back and drew level... with 30 seconds to go Bulkington were a goal ahead, however, the possession play that Bulkington did unfortunately cost them a win and Leamington scored to level with seconds left to play.

A draw was probably a fair result.
