I don't think any of us knew what to expect from today's game with a completely new team both in defence and attack, and not really knowing our opposition. Nevertheless the first quarter ended with a 6 goal lead and we were feeling very positive.

LMR stepped up their game and at half time we ended up being drawn at 16 goals each. We decided to move positions around and with fine form from the shooters throughout the game we got our lead back. Attack fed in some brilliant balls, watching each other and working well together. The defence worked hard, analysing the opposition well were able to turn the ball around quickly.

With SJ's shooting and Amy's power to achieve clean interceptions, Bulkington got the upper hand. Even the opposition bringing on a young, tall, athletic shooter still didn't faze Kim!

The game ended on a high with a 41 - 29 victory, and of course our players player was Amy Thompson (thoroughly well deserved). Everyone worked well together, listened to each other and supported each other when the occasional mistake was made. Thank you to Lisa who kept working incredibly hard, even though she had already played that morning and thank you to Fran and Rhian for subbing for us when we needed them. Everyone stepped up to the challenge and I look forward to the rest of the season.
